Through its partnership with The Podcast Factory Org asbl, transforma bxl provides its members with free access to the professional podcast studio located at our premises in Evere.

This benefit includes:

  • free access to the podcast studio and its equipment
  • a complimentary one-hour training session on how to use the equipment correctly
  • preferential terms on eligible training programmes and services offered by The Podcast Factory Org
  • the opportunity to receive further support in designing, recording, producing and publishing a podcast.

The complimentary session focuses on the practical use of the equipment provided. Members who wish to explore their strategy, editorial preparation, production or distribution in greater depth can then call on the expertise of The Podcast Factory Org.

    Producing media through shared resources

This collaboration is based on a simple principle: sharing resources rather than multiplying individual purchases.

The shared studio allows transforma members to experiment with podcasting without having to immediately purchase equipment or build their own studio. Sharing equipment and knowledge helps make media production more accessible, autonomous and sustainable.

      A tool for sharing expertise

Podcasting enables entrepreneurs, freelancers, non-profit organisations and businesses to share their expertise, present a project, pass on knowledge or build a more human connection with their communities.

The studio can be used to:

      • record an interview
      • produce an internal or public-facing podcast
      • showcase professional expertise
      • share knowledge
      • document an impact-driven project
      • give employees or partners a voice
      • test a format before investing in equipment
      • prepare a series for a website, newsletter or podcast platform.

The aim is not simply to make microphones available. Through the partnership with The Podcast Factory Org, members can also gain a better understanding of the decisions involved in building a coherent, distinctive and sustainable podcast.

A collaboration that began in 2015

The collaboration between transforma bxl and the projects now led by The Podcast Factory Org began in 2015, when transforma was still based at its first location at Solvay Sport in Watermael-Boitsfort.

Enis Bedda, co-founder of transforma bxl, was invited to join Michel Godart for a podcast interview. Following transforma’s move to Avenue Jules Bordet in Evere, a permanent podcast studio was launched in December 2015 in partnership with hrmeetup.© and The Podcast Factory Org.

More than ten years after that first meeting, the collaboration continues to be driven by a shared conviction: sharing spaces, equipment and knowledge makes creation more accessible and fosters autonomy.

Native podcasting experience developed since 2007

The story of The Podcast Factory Org dates back to 2007, when Michel Godart and Mathieu Pesesse created Le Podcast High Tech.

It was a native podcast: a programme conceived from the outset for on-demand listening and digital distribution through an RSS feed, unlike a replay of a programme originally produced for radio or television.

Guests on Le Podcast High Tech included Erik Portier, then Country Manager of Google Belgium. Michel Godart and Mathieu Pesesse were subsequently invited to the opening of Google’s Brussels offices. The podcast was also referenced in the world of the Les Geeks comic-book series, published by Éditions Soleil.

The Podcast Factory Org ASBL-VZW was officially incorporated on 18 January 2018, building on this experience in native podcasting developed since 2007.

An approach built around podcast architecture

Producing a podcast involves more than setting up microphones and recording a conversation.

The Podcast Factory Org has developed an approach based on podcast architecture: a comprehensive vision connecting a project’s objectives, audiences, editorial direction, format, recording, editing, hosting, RSS feed, distribution, metadata, accessibility and discoverability.

This approach also incorporates SEO, PSO, AEO and GEO so that content can continue to be found, understood and cited over time by search engines, podcast platforms and AI-powered answer engines.

The aim is to build a genuine editorial asset rather than a collection of files dependent on a single platform.

Producing, sharing knowledge and fostering autonomy

The Podcast Factory Org supports individuals, non-profit organisations, freelancers, businesses and other organisations in designing and producing podcasts.

              Its activities include:

              • podcast strategy and development
              • training and knowledge transfer
              • studio, on-location and event recording
              • audio and video production
              • editing and post-production
              • hosting, RSS feed management and distribution
              • transcription, subtitling and multilingual accessibility
              • publishing and discoverability
              • auditing and improving existing podcasts.

Transforma members benefit from preferential terms on eligible training programmes and services. Current programmes and conditions are available directly from The Podcast Factory Org.

                Complementary projects

The Podcast Factory Org also develops several initiatives focused on media production and knowledge sharing:

                • PodiBUZ, a mobile electric podcast studio used to record at businesses, non-profit organisations, festivals and events
                • PodBXL, a community initiative dedicated to podcasts recorded live in front of audiences in Brussels
                • What’s Your Story, an editorial platform bringing together podcasts, articles, transcripts, subtitles and multilingual content.

Transforma’s permanent studio and the mobile PodiBUZ studio follow the same principle: bringing production tools closer to people and sharing professional equipment rather than multiplying individual purchases.

A partnership built on shared values

The Podcast Factory Org uses podcasting as a tool for expression, knowledge sharing, digital autonomy and human connection.

Its work is guided by authenticity, transparency, inclusion, accessibility, reliability, respect for all living things and the pursuit of a positive impact on society.

These commitments reflect transforma bxl’s ambition to foster sustainable innovation, diversity, new ways of working and projects that place people at their core.
