Artificial Intelligence is one of the most promising, hyped and feared technologies of the 21st century. Yet at the same time, it’s a technology that started out in the 1950s and was largely abandoned in the ’80s. So what changed?

How are we finally starting to talk to our computers after decades of trying? And why are people like Stephen Hawking and Elon Musk warning that AI could mean the end of humanity itself? In this talk, we’ll take you through the history of AI, what it means today and what it might mean in the future.

Deevid De Meyer is a computer science expert with a background in distributed systems. After starting at a prototyping company, Deevid co-founded Brainjar, a startup with the mission to build applications using Deep Learning technology.

Since starting work as a machine learning developer 3 years ago, Deevid has given over a hundred excellently received presentations on various topics surrounding AI.

These presentations ranged from technical deep dives for a limited audience to inspirational keynotes for larger audiences.
